Novatek, Uniper to cooperate in hydrogen production, supplies

MOSCOW, Jan 29 (PRIME) -- Russian independent gas producer Novatek and Germany’s Uniper have signed a memorandum of understanding to produce and supply hydrogen, Novatek said on Friday.

“Novatek ... and Uniper today have signed a memorandum of understanding to study and assess the possibilities of developing hydrogen production and a supply chain,” the statement said.

In accordance with the memorandum, the parties intend to develop an integrated chain of production, transport and supply of hydrogen, including to Uniper’s power plants in Russia and Western Europe.
